My personal skin care battle with a sun allergy & Seborrheic Dermatitis

My personal journey into real skin 'care' began mid-2020, after I was diagnosed with a sun allergy and severe chronic Seborrheic Dermatitis (SD). Only weeks before my wedding, my face became severely red and swollen with dry scaly skin, and let me tell you, it was PAINFUL. I had suffered with SD for five years prior, but it had never been this bad.

After seeing several doctors, I was prescribed a hydrocortisone cream in hopes that it would go away, but my condition only got progressively worse. A simple 30-second walk to my car could onset painful blistering, and the steroid cream did not help. In the weeks following my wedding I tried many different off-the-shelf creams and products, but nothing seemed to work.

Finally, after months of research, I decided the only way to battle my sun allergy and SD was to ditch my cabinet full of products and create my own all-natural and organic products. Thus, Freckled Jane was born.

The products in our launch collection have changed my life and skincare routine! I began with Cleanse, which gently sloughed away all of my dead skin cells, followed by Hybrid Serum to repair and rejuvenate my skin. These two products were the building blocks of Freckled Jane. They have given me the confidence and ability to go outside again, unafraid of the sun; I rarely suffer painful breakouts, and even if I do, they disappear within a day; And I've been able to reduce my cabinet of products down to two!

I can honestly say that Freckled Jane has helped me love the skin I'm in! These products have personally simplified my routine, assisted in battling my disease and enhanced my natural glow. I will forever thank God for creating me the way I am–unique, and beautiful.
